Chromotherapy explained

Chromotherapy, also known as Color Therapy, is an alternative holistic health treatment that is used to improve health and alter your mood. How it works is that it produces different color lights within an infrared sauna. The color light then creates positive change within your body as a meditative aid.

The benefits of Chromotherapy

Chromotherapy has a lot of specific based benefits and each color focuses on a different benefit. However, some of the all-around benefits include:

  • Improves mood
  • Eases depression and anxiety
  • Boosts energy

The basic colors explained

Chromotherapy focuses on various energy points that helps to balance your body. This is achieved via the full spectrum of visible light. Each color possesses frequencies of a specific vibration, and each vibration is related to different physical symptoms.

Red: brings warmth, energy and stimulation. It energizes the heart and blood circulation and enhances metabolism.

Yellow: has a cleansing effect by purifying the blood and skin. It strongly stimulates happiness, brings on a sense of security, as well as a strong feeling of well-being.

Green: is a purifying and cleansing color. It helps to reduce swelling of joints and tissues and calms the body’s nervous system.

Turquoise: increases intuition and sensitivity. It mentally relaxes and tackles embodied psychological barriers. It can help regulate imbalances in the lung and large intestines system.

Blue: is a calming color. It stimulates the parasympathetic system and reduces blood pressure. The blue color also calms breathing and heart rate. It is a great way to treat sleep disorders and headaches.

Violet: promotes awareness and consciousness. It assists with detoxification and proper functioning of the lymphatic system. It can also be very helpful with menopause.
